Cotteridge & Kings Norton
start from 14 weeks...
YogaBirth classes are so special & unique, I love teaching them and I love to see women come back to the class to share their birth stories again and again. You need to be 14 weeks to start the class but early booking is recommended to guarantee you a space for when you want it.
YogaBirth is extremely gentle and ideal for absolute beginners. It will help you
maintain your strength and mobility as your body carries on changing. The class
focuses on preparing you for birth, both physically and mentally and will show
you how to connect with your body and growing baby by giving yourself time
to stop and relax.
The class is 1.5 hours and in that time we will do yoga that nourishes and helps
to sooth any aches and pains, that is appropriate for your gestation and connects
you to your changing body. There will be specific breathing exercises and
techniques to learn for use when birthing your baby, You will learn about active
birthing; the help that gravity can give you while birthing and the importance of
your posture to help your baby be in the right position for an easier birth. We
finish with a guided relaxation which combines hypnobirthing scripts for those
who are using it to prepare for their birth and then finish with time for tea and a
healthy snack which is when we can discuss some birth related topics or
anything that is on your mind.
