As families continue to risk their lives fleeing the terrors of war, I felt I just couldn't sit here and do nothing.
I came across a post published by EcoRoos who were sending slings and baby carriers directly to Kos Kindness. It really struck a chord with me,when travelling with my 2 little ones on public transport I find myself clinging to their hands for dear life so as not to get seperated. I hate it.
These families have survived a dangerous journey but still have a long journey ahead of them and it is paramount to keep babies and toddlers in the safest environment possible, next to their carer.
So... I have agreed to be a local drop off point IN BIRMINGHAM. I can only accept Slings and Carriers at this time due to limited space, but will be driving the stash to EcoRoos who will be sending them to Kos.
They are collecting used but in good safe condition baby carriers and slings to send to refugees. Narrow based high street carriers are ok too.
I posted the request out to followers of my facebok page & friends, and within 48 hours have already recieved 7 donations!! Pretty amazing, thank you all - I will keep you posted with progress xx
